Job Description:
Pharmacists are healthcare professionals who are responsible for dispensing medication and providing information about the use and effects of drugs. They work in various settings including retail pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medication as prescribed by a physician or other healthcare provider
- Provide information about the use, side effects, and interactions of medications to patients and healthcare providers
- Monitor and assess patient medication therapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Keep accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions
- Stay up to date with changes in medication and healthcare regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree
- State licensure to practice pharmacy
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Qualifications:
