Job Description:

Audiologists are healthcare professionals who specialize in diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders in individuals of all ages. They use a variety of assessment tools and techniques to evaluate hearing and balance, including audiometric testing, otoacoustic emissions testing, and vestibular testing. They also provide rehabilitation services, such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting hearing evaluations and assessments
• Diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders
• Fitting and dispensing hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices
• Providing patient education and counseling on hearing and balance disorders
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
• Keeping accurate records of patient evaluations and treatments

Minimum Requirements:

• Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited university
• State licensure or certification to practice audiology
• Knowledge of hearing and balance disorders and their treatment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited university
• State licensure or certification to practice audiology
• Board certification in audiology from the American Board of Audiology or the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• Experience working in a clinical setting
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and other diagnostic equipment.
