Job Description:
A Cameraman is responsible for operating and maintaining camera equipment to capture footage for film, television, and video productions. They work closely with the director and other members of the production team to ensure that the footage meets the creative and technical requirements of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining camera equipment, including setting up and adjusting lighting, sound, and other technical elements
- Capturing footage that is in line with the creative vision of the director and production team
- Collaborating with other members of the production team, such as the director and producer, to ensure that the footage meets the technical and creative requirements of the project
- Keeping up-to-date with new camera equipment and technology to ensure that the footage produced is of the highest quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the production process
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring it is in good working order
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating camera equipment and working on film, television, or video productions
- Strong understanding of camera equipment and technology
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Good physical stamina to handle long days on set
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in film, television, or video production
- Professional experience in the industry
- Advanced knowledge of camera equipment and technology
- Strong portfolio of previous work
- Professional certifications in camera operation and maintenance.
Salary Range:
$35,000 – $100,000 per year
