Job Description:

Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in homes, businesses, and industrial settings. They work with a variety of electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting fixtures. Electricians must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electrical systems and make repairs as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Install and maintain lighting systems, including fixtures, ballasts, and controls
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Test electrical systems and equipment for proper operation
• Follow safety procedures and regulations when working with electricity

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
• Valid electrician’s license
• Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Qualifications:

• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
• Valid electrician’s license
• Additional certifications, such as a Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician, may be required for certain positions
• Experience working with a variety of electrical systems and equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
