Job Role: Parts Salesperson
Job Description:
A parts salesperson is responsible for selling and promoting automotive parts and accessories to customers, both wholesale and retail. They work in a retail or wholesale automotive parts store, and may also work in a dealership or repair shop. They must have knowledge of automotive parts and be able to assist customers with their needs and provide recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and determining their needs
- Assisting customers with selecting and purchasing parts and accessories
- Providing product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Keeping track of inventory and ordering new parts as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Processing payments and completing sales transactions
- Keeping up-to-date with new products and promotions
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in automotive parts sales or a related field
- Knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology or a related field
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification
- Sales and customer service training
- Experience with automotive parts software and inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary Range:
$25,000 to $45,000 per year
