Job Role: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for providing patient care, administering medication, and monitoring vital signs. They work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and private practices. RNs work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, and they are responsible for educating patients and their families about their conditions and the care they will receive.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing patients’ health status and needs
• Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitoring vital signs and recording patient information
• Developing and implementing care plans
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
• Communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Maintaining patient records and documentation

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid nursing license from the state in which the RN will be practicing
• A minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing (BSN preferred)
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN exam
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Specialization in a specific area of nursing (such as pediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, etc.)
• Experience working in a specific healthcare setting (such as a hospital, clinic, or nursing home)
• Certification in a specific area of nursing (such as critical care, hospice and palliative care, etc.)
• Advanced training or certification in a specialized area of nursing (such as wound care, IV therapy, etc.)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and management skills

Salary Range in USA:

$58,000 – $105,000 per year (varies depending on location, experience, and employer)
